Manchester United sign up Arnau Puigmal

Premier League giants Manchester United have confirmed that youngster Arnau Puigmal has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the club.

Gifted starlet

Puigmal, a Spanish youth international, made the move to Manchester last year following a stint with Espanyol, and took little time in making his mark in England, going on to net a gorgeous free-kick during his Red Devils debut versus Newcastle in September.

The technically-gifted midfielder is viewed as one of the finest young talents in United’s youth setup, with Head of Academy and club legend Nicky Butt having recently had the following to say regarding Puigmal’s development:

‘Arnau has impressed us all since he came to the club this season. He has a great attitude to learn and he has quickly picked up English, which will be a great help to him going forward. It is clear to see that he has all the attributes to develop into a top player and have a fine future ahead of him.’

Staying put

And, in a boost to the club’s prospects moving forward, the Red Devils have confirmed that Puigmal’s future lies at Old Trafford, with the La Roja starlet having put pen to paper on his first professional contract in Manchester:
