Man United fans hail Jose Mourinho for Chelsea’s struggles

Chelsea 0 – Leicester 0

Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Leicester at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League.

Leicester had the better of the first half and Riyad Mahrez had a fine game throughout.

Chelsea got back into the game in the second half, predominantly late on after Ben Chilwell was sent off for Claude Puel’s side.

On the face of it, drawing at home with the 2015/2016 champions is not a complete disaster, but it marks a worrying trend for Chelsea right now.

Chelsea: The goalless draw specialists

Since beating Stoke 5-0 on the penultimate day of 2017, Chelsea have been involved in four consecutive draws.

The 2-2 with Arsenal was an incredible match and featured plenty of Alvaro Morata misses.

But, the three games since then have all ended 0-0 and Chelsea haven’t produced much of an attacking threat in any of them.

First came the 0-0 draw with Norwich in the FA Cup. Then the midweek dire encounter with Arsenal, before today’s point versus Leicester.

Did Jose Mourinho set off the poor Chelsea form?

On Saturday, Manchester United fans have begun to celebrate Jose Mourinho and his mind games with Antonio Conte.

The public war of words between Conte and Mourinho has been quite fierce and rather unpleasant.

Yet there seems little doubt that Chelsea’s form has dropped since Conte turned his ire on Mourinho.

The only problem with Manchester United fans hailing Mourinho for his part in the Chelsea struggles, is that The Special One himself believes Conte started it.

Today’s draw against Leicester could help Manchester United, with the Red Devils now in a position to go three points clear in second when they face Stoke at home on Monday night.
