Liverpool’s Alisson transfer timetable revealed by Gazzetta
Liverpool & Alisson
In the aftermath of Philippe Coutinho’s move from Liverpool to Barcelona, the question of how Liverpool will spend their newly pocketed 142 million pounds has dominated conversation.
Liverpool face a huge second half of the season.
The Reds take on FC Porto in the Champions League last-16. While Liverpool have got a battle on their hands to remain in the top four.
So will Jurgen Klopp spend his Coutinho cash this January?
And if so, rather than searching for a replacement, should Liverpool finally solve their issues in goal?
Loris Karius has failed to dislodge Simon Mignolet between the sticks at Anfield.
And Mignolet continues to be regularly pilloried by pundits and football watchers for not being good enough.
In that regard, recent days have seen Liverpool linked with Roma and Brazilian international stopper Alisson.
How good is Alisson?
In short, he’s superb.
The Brazilian been in brilliant form this season, keeping 12 clean sheets in 24 games. That’s the best defensive record in Serie A.
Alisson has made saves this season which have won matches for Roma.

Liverpool’s Alisson transfer timetable
According to Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday, Roma will not sell Alisson in the current window.
Roma are fourth in Serie A, and they’ve got a huge battle on their hands to finish the year in a Champions League spot.
The Giallorossi have also advanced to the knockout phase of the Champions League. They take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the last-16.
Moreover, Alisson is under contract with the Giallorossi until 2021. That means Roma are under no pressure to sell their asset now.
Yet, Gazzetta announce that Roma are open to selling Alisson in the summer.
At that point it’s believed Liverpool can sign the goalie for 50 million euros. Roma spent eight million bring Alisson to the Stadio Olimpico.
PSG & Real Madrid
But the summer battle to sign Alisson is likely to see PSG and Real Madrid challenge Liverpool for the keeper.
Those sides are not only mentioned by Gazzetta, but Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has also posted a similar update on Friday night:
Alisson’s excellent first season as Roma’s starting keeper has attracted suitors from abroad.
In fact Real Madrid have joined Paris St Germain in the race for the Brazilian keeper, the blancos appear to have cooled their pursuit of Kapa Arrizabalaga because of his recent injuries.
