Bad day for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard vs Leicester

Chelsea vs Leicester

If Chelsea thought they’d roll over Leicester City on Saturday the Blues were very much mistaken.

Antonio Conte have looked like real challengers to Man United in recent weeks to finish the season as runners-up.

However, Chelsea came into the Leicester game on the back of three draws in a row.

And the Blues were lucky to go into the break at 0-0 as the Foxes were the better side in the first half.

Riyad Mahrez was the star of the show in west London as Leicester outplayed Chelsea.

Bad day for Eden Hazard

In the 57th minute, Conte took Eden Hazard out of the game.

Hazard wasn’t injured. He was given the hook for a below-par performance against the Foxes.

Indeed, Conte used all his three subs before the hour mark.

Along with Hazard, Cesc Fabregas was subbed out the game. While in the first half Andreas Christensen came off the bench to replace the injured Gary Cahill.

Hazard’s tough time at Chelsea

This is the time of the season that Chelsea could really do with Hazard on top form.

It’s also worth remembering that Hazard missed the start of the season through injury.

But Hazard has only scored one and chipped in with one assist in his last seven Chelsea Premier League starts.

Moreover, he’s been subbed by Conte in Chelsea’s last three games too.

Is there something going on behind the scenes? What’s clear is Hazard is off the pace right now.
